Job Description:
We’re looking for a Director of Engineering who loves challenges as much as they do building software. You will collaborate with our CTO and lead our engineering teams in building enterprise applications for our clients across North America. The right candidate can navigate white space, make the impossible possible, and pay real attention to detail. You have multiple years of professional experience writing well-tested back-end code, are at ease with either IOS or Android, and have a strong approach to object-oriented software.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide strong passionate leadership to cross functional development teams, manage team productivity and guide team members to ensure they understand their deliverables
- Clearly and succinctly communicate the priorities and plans to the team, the customers (as necessary), the CEO and the senior leadership team
- Lead the design, build, maintain, and pioneer development of Android and IOS applications
- Ensure features are delivered efficiently and on-time
- Work with stakeholders to develop a vision and a product roadmap
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in a Director or equivalent role within a professional services environment
- 7+ years of development experience, including 2 years mobile development experience in Android and/or iOS
- Experience working with software that integrates with a backend (Node, JavaScript, etc…)
- Comfortable with rapid development cycles and tight schedules
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
