We are looking for an entry-level/junior Content Marketer to join our Marketing team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the candidate will be responsible for writing and creating content that will support lead generation efforts, including: blog posts, whitepapers and ebooks, slideshares, and other content as required. The candidate will also assist with PR efforts (specifically pitching stories to journalists and publications), posting to our WordPress site, and editing content. The ideal candidate will be a very strong writer with the ability to write on technical topics.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Writing and creating content including blog posts, whitepapers, ebooks, slideshares, and more
- Interviewing members of the Clearbridge Team and using their expertise to create content
- Pitching stories to news and industry publications to secure guest articles and media placements, and reporting on the progress of these efforts
- Sourcing images and formatting/posting content to our WordPress site
- Researching, securing, and managing content partnerships
- Editing content made by our team and guest authors
Skills Needed
- Very strong writer
- Technical background OR the ability to write authoritatively on technical topics
- Ability to interview members of our team and turn these conversations into authoritative content
- Willingness and ability to learn quickly and step outside of your comfort zone
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent research skills
Nice-to-Haves
- Internship or co-op experience in a similar role is preferred
- Experience with WordPress CMS
- Experience writing for or managing a blog or website
- Experience with SEO/keyword research
- Background in Marketing, PR, Journalism, or Communications, OR in a technical field
